Synchi's Poetry Page

A simple collection of well penned words

Here you will find several poems that have been submitted to me or I have written myself. I do not search out other people's poems and stick them on my page. All of the works here, that are not mine, have been submitted to me by the authors and it is /only/ with their permission that I have posted these works on this page. If you have a piece of prose that you would like to see posted here, please feel free to submit it to me by sending it to me at my email address, queenofdenile@angelfire.com.

I hope you enjoy these works and I'd love to hear from you about them. If you see any misspellings or any other sort of mistakes, please let me know so I can fix them.

CALL HER TRANQUILITY

She stands liquid
in the
purple shadows.
Her hair the color
of autumn
wine.
Water gurgles
around
her feet like soap
bubbles.
The moon rises
and pale rays cascade over
her
pale skin.
She is the
essence
of a
love affair
between the elements
of life.

I knelt down next to you
Watched you laying there
I put my hand on your forehead
Saw your eyes open
It's time to wake up
There are a lot of people who want to meet you

You looked back at me
Stared into my eyes
I'll never forget what you said
"You"
"You are the builder"
"The creator of things unseen"

NOTE:

Unfortunately, I could not find an author's name or even a title to this one. However, I found the words entirely too compelling to leave off of this page. To the one that wrote these words, you have a definate gift, thank you for sharing it with the world.

AWAKENING

A jumble of lies and broken dreams,
Shove them aside, view the tattered seams.
Threads of thought, interlace,
To cover the pain of the human race.
Silent, swift, deadly still,
Awake to find a way to kill
The fierce desires of hunger and greed.
Awake to taste the bitter seed.

Brightness greets the humble eye,
Spreads fresh wings, learns to fly.
Sweep the shards turned to dust,
Fathom kindness, love and trust.
Dance upon the water break,
Another chance for dreams to make.
Awake to find a lover's arms,
Revel in exuded charm.

Fragile, this, the loving heart,
Enter the spiral of love's sweet dart.
Open like the fragrant bloom,
Learn to dance beneath the moon.
Silvered dewdrops, a god's tender kiss,
A courtship dance, lovers' bliss.
Awake to touch the hands of fate,
Wash away the covered slate.

Tender is, true love's kiss,
No more to loose upon this...
Awakening

Here is a series of poems by a person I'd definately call friend. Though I didn't get any titles with these poems and I don't know his real name, I know that he writes beautifully. So, sit back and enjoy Zack's words. (One of these days I'll get the titles and maybe even a proper author's name to go with these lines of prose.

The sky was my favorite version today
a lull of bluish grey swept across the starry palate
with just that hint of Spring's rain
I could not help but want to be submerged
So I began to let reason slip away
and surround myself with new sensations
for during this time of reflection
I remembered just what is was to be myself
To culminate and cherish all that I love
those valuable components of existence
forever defining myself of who and what I am
so that I may never forget it

It is still a mystery to me
how a faceless image so far away
can become a testament to desire
It is also a mystery to me
of why I allowed my mind and heart to open
to whispers that no ear could hear
And the answer could be simple
that it was merely time for me to do so
engaging in ideals I thought weren't possible
And the answer could be complex
that the whisper was always there
and the vessel was merely waiting for me to listen

_____________________________________________

Just who are you
tell me that and I'll stop
Asking pointless questions
and expecting help
Just fill me in
on who and why and how
so that my brain won't have to fathom
such complex matters
Just let me know what
to do to say to feel
for life would be easier
and I could know how to feel
about you

I can no longer abide by the rules
because I am tired of this never ending game
So I am going to bend the rules
If not break them
So I can finally end my search, end my problems
and win for the team, which is sanity
the prize of desire

Little girl
oh so far away
Little boy
wishing she would stay
both of them are worlds so far apart
The days go by she starts to find her way
The boy begins to learn both night and day
both discovering what's inside their heart
And so their lives go down two separate paths
Neither one determined to be last
Each a child of distant cares, each will do what no one dares
A tale of life and love told so very fast

Fallen Angel, that's what you must be
every time I look for you, I find a part of me
Fallen Angel, your what makes me whole
for the fire
that burns with in your heart, is the fuel
of my soul

I sit at home
my thoughts upon the screen
A silent code
my words they can be seen
keyboard's touch her only way to hear
She answers back
her message soon unfolds
The words appear
her story finally told
why is she afraid to let me near
And so our hearts and minds begin to clash
A friendship formed can disappear within a flash
Those differences should drive me away, but it just makes me want to stay
To find what God in Heaven would have me say

Fallen Angel, that's what you must be
every time I look for you, I find a part of me
Fallen Angel, your what makes me whole
for the fire
that burns with in your heart, is the fuel
of my soul

------------------------------------------------------
If I had to pick it's color, it'd be red
for so many sensations lie in that shade

the crimson blood which flows through us all
is a critical component to this cycle's rebirth
expanding the composition of the human experience
to dive into the essence, to reap internal rewards

red draws me to the heat of this moment
temperatures rising beyond the ocean's crest comparison
drenching the individual in cooperative effort
cascading both into a new level of intimacy

red manifests the notion of divine passion
a supernatural ideal made corporeal through expression
whether through basking candle light or flashes of desire
the universal connection permeates through heavenly bodies

it is here where red changes to malignant hues
transitions orchestrated through levels of fulfilment

perhaps it's white, an individual's snow capped peak
born through internal fire, delivered into the melting valley
perhaps a transparent stream bringing life like water
an artificial dew brought to drench my essence

and when the spectrum returns to a modest stability
I am left with a mental whirlwind of thoughts and dreams
simple mathematics used to describe the most complex
now where two where, one radiates beyond glory
and though the heat diminishes from the two cradled forms
a million unspoken promises last, for all eternity

THIS IS MY HIGH

This morning, I watched the sun rise
Low on the horizon, the colors in my eyes
A faint of blue with orange and pink
"Dear Lord, what beauty," I think
Crimson shadows cast on the ground
These thoughts in my head; the only sound
Slowly, she wakes, Mother Earth turns over
Sighs her wind with sweet smell of clover
The birds flutter in the trees
Do they know the beauty I see?
The sun rises high on its pillow of clouds
Magnificent angels with snow-white shrouds
Floating by swiftly, heaven-bound they fly
I have finally found peace; this is my high
