A pictography of my venture into ceramics

Here, you'll find pictures of the ceramics that I've done. I paint all of these by hand. If you have any comments, questions or are interested in any of the pieces, E-mail me at queenofdenile@angelfire.com.

Some of these are my first pieces and all are my first attempts at using my new digital camera so, the colors didn't all come out quite as good as I'd hoped on some of them.

On a further note, each piece has been handpainted and those that are stained have been coated with a clear gloss in order to protect their colors from any damage or fading.

Dragons

This dragon is actually royal blue with a silver overlay. His underside is done in a lavendar color and is lightly covered with irridescent glitter. These pictures just do not do him justice as they do not pick up the subtle shimmer of the silver and the glitter.

Dragon's Head

This dragon is done in a pale blue so that he's nearly white. His scales are overlaid with an irridescent white and he is trimmed in sterling silver. His underbelly and wings are done in a shade of dawn pink and he rests atop a rocky, snow covered crag.

NEW PIECE!!

Resting atop a nest of multi-hued crystal spires, this dragon bathes himself in moonlight as he guards the doorway to some hidden citadel within his crystal nest. Is it the home of a wizardly master, or the dragon's lair? One can only guess with such a noble creature guarding the way. Painted a deep blue with an overlay of sterling silver and purple highlights, he's an eye catching piece indeed.

Wolves

A lone wolf standing in the wild pauses to study something that's caught his attention. This piece is highly detailed.

A Closeup of the Standing Wolf

This piece is made to look like a driftwood carving with the base being left looking 'natural' and the top having been carved into the detailed shape of a howling wolf's head.

Goblets

Each goblet has been glazed on the inside so that it can be drunk from. It is not recommeded that they be immersed in water as that could possibly ruin the stains on the outside.

These two are a set of heavy goblets consisting of a white dragon and black dragon curled around their respective stems. The white dragon did not pick up under the camera as well as I had hoped and the pictures just don't do them justice. The trim on the white dragon goblet is 14K gold and the black dragon goblet is Steriling Silver.

This goblet is done much the same as the ones above but, has a red dragon curled around the stem. The trim is 14K Gold and there is an overlay of the same on the dragon.

Other

A majestic blood bay horse rears, pawing the air with flint-sharp hooves. I don't know about you but, I can almost hear him whinny his love of freedom to the sky.
Rearing Bay

A wicked cobra, disturbed in its rest spreads its hood over the skull of a past victim. The really great thing about this piece is the fact that it is a tea light holder. When lit and placed, the tea light candle makes the skull's eyes glow.

NEW PIECE!!

This one is great for Halloween parties or just as a conversational coffee cup. It has been fired with a food safe glaze and is dishwasher safe as well.
Skull Mug

NEW PIECE!!

Another sort of mug that's even more realistic than the last, it is larger and, as with the previous piece, makes for a great Halloween party favor or for use as a conversation piece. It has been fired and coated with a food safe glaze and is dishwasher safe.

Two dragons curl about the altar of their master awaiting their next orders. The green dragon has a light overlay of 14K gold and the blue has one of Sterling Silver.

A unicorn takes time to rest in a peaceful, dewkissed glade. His mane and tail shimmer in the moonlight and the glint of Sterling Silver from his hooves and horn can not be mistaken.

NEW PIECE!!

After flitting about gathering berries and leaves to put in her hair, this whimsical fairy has found a perfect place to rest for a moment. Her lavendar hair blows in the soft breeze as she slowly fans her multihued wings.
